Hi, we need to setup 3 layer discounting in sales transactions. Example Customer A has 10% Trade Discount across all items while we need to apply additional 2% discount for specific period only as marketing support and in an item we need to have 1% discount to the item as introductory discount for specific period. How can we set this up in Microsoft dynamics 365 Business Central?
I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

    You can achieve that by making discounts for customer and add discount for item.

    Your customer discount needs to be invoice discount type, and discount for items you can set as line discount so you can have various items with various percentage of discounts.

    More you can read on this link, also, there is a lot of video material on YouTube for this case.

    Try to make some discount setup and if you have more specific question feel free to ask.

    Greetings

    Hi,
    The 3 layer discount can be handled as below;
    1. Setting up Flat 10% discount for a specific Customer: As for the customer level discount, you can set the invoice discount based on the applied terms.
    2. Additional 2% discount for specific period: For Sales Line, if this additional dsicount is applicable only on this customer filter the discount on the customer and item for specific period.
    3. Item level discount for a certain period: You can set up item level discount through the item master as follows and define it whether it is applicable on a specific group or all the customers within that time period.
