Sales Orders disappear and/or Header does not reflect the same total as lines

We are having some strange things happening with sales orders being created thru eConnect. Many orders are being created but occasionally and randomly and order that gets created and reviewed by the end user will later be gone or different. Most of the orders are created without pricing so after they are created the user goes back and enters prices so they know the order existed. Then at a later time, day or two later, then order is missing or worse the header and details don't match/add up ie the header has the total of all lines previous on the order but some of the lines are gone. We don't allow the order to be deleted and have checked that they are not transferred to another sop type. It seems like something is wrong at the database level, has anyone had any experience like this?

    Hi,

We don't use eConnect, but I had a similar issue with a couple of orders with quite a few line items and it turned out to be a network issue.

Why do you think it may be something at the database level?

    Nancy,

    Nasty problem!

If you are creating the orders through eConnect you must have an integration. This sounds like record locking issues, does it feel like the same document number is being used by eConnect and manual entry, one trampling on the other?

I'd be looking at how the document numbers are being generated and assigned, if the developer has done this in a less than ideal way, then yes these kinds of issues could happen.

    Tim
