We have been facing slowness issue in Dynamic BC since past 1 week time, pls. check once where is issue. We do have 200MBPS ILL and only 65 users using net.

We have tried :

1.Application works fine during the first half of the day, but performance degrades in the second half.

2. Tested with different networks on mobile hotspots, the application works smoothly. On the official network, it shows delays even with sufficient bandwidth (200 Mbps) and limited concurrent users (~65).

3.Both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge were tested. Browser cache was cleared, and extensions were reviewed — no improvement in performance.

4.Ping to bc.dynamics.com failed — likely due to Microsoft blocking ICMP.

we have tested all required Rules/Check in Firewall /Network, no issue with that.

I have the same question (0)

It is recommended that you submit a SR to Microsoft because this is a unique problem that occurs in your environment.
However, you can test the access speed of the environment in advance.
    Hope the following helps.
Test the speed of Dynamics 365 Business Central from your location (Azure Latency Test)

    Thanks.

This needs a detailed investigation of the Server load, latency I/O etc and then detailed inspection of Business central load, Concurrent users, Count of Posting and so on.

This may require a detailed technical investigation.

I recommend you contact your Microsoft partner or raise a support ticket directly with Microsoft. They can help analyze telemetry, session logs, and performance metrics from the Business Central environment to identify root causes such as high load, throttling, or regional service degradation.

    1. Network Bottlenecks or Latency
Even with 200 Mbps, latency, jitter, or packet loss can cause slowness — especially if:
    • There’s bandwidth contention from other apps (e.g., video calls, backups).
    • QoS or firewall rules deprioritize Business Central traffic.
    • DNS resolution is slow or misconfigured.
Action: Use tools like tracert, Wireshark, or NetFlow to analyze latency and packet loss. Also, try switching to a faster DNS (e.g., Google 8.8.8.8 or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) and monitor performance .

    2. "Noisy Neighbor" or Shared SaaS Resource Contention
In SaaS environments, resource contention from other tenants (a "noisy neighbor") can degrade performance, especially during peak hours.
Action: Enable telemetry via Azure Application Insights to monitor:
    • Long-running SQL queries
    • Extension performance
    • API call spikes
    • Background jobs[2]
You can also request your CSP or Microsoft support to check for noisy neighbor issues.

     3. Heavy Extensions or Customizations
Extensions that are resource-heavy or poorly optimized can slow down page loads or background tasks.
    Action:
    • Use the In-Client Performance Profiler to identify slow pages or extensions [2].
    • Audit and disable unused or rarely used extensions.
    • Review custom AL code for inefficient loops or database calls.

    4. Background Jobs or API Integrations
If scheduled jobs (e.g., reports, syncs, batch processes) run in the second half of the day, they may consume resources and slow down the system.
     Action:
    • Review Job Queue Entries and API call logs.
    • Reschedule heavy jobs to off-peak hours.
    • Batch API calls instead of real-time syncs.

     5. Database Indexing and Data Volume
Large tables or missing indexes can cause slow queries, especially as the day progresses and data volume increases.
     Action:
    • Use Database Missing Indexes and Wait Statistics pages in BC to identify bottlenecks [2].
    • Archive old data regularly.
    • Rebuild or reorganize indexes if you're on-prem or hybrid.

     Recommended Next Steps
    Step Tool/Action
     Enable Telemetry Azure App Insights
Run Performance Profiler In-client Profiler (for slow pages)
Analyze Network DNS, latency, packet loss, firewall rules
Audit Extensions Disable or optimize heavy ones
Review Background Jobs Reschedule or optimize
Contact Microsoft Ask CSP to check for noisy neighbor
