Use external list to identify contacts within CRM

We have a need to contact a number of people from our CRM2011 database that have been identified outside of Dynamics and I am trying to work out the best way to pick out these specific contacts in order to put them into a Marketing List.

I have tried using the Advance Find, but only seem to have the option to ask for one match per line, and as there are at least 1000 records that is not really feasible.

Is there some way to import or upload this list to cross reference within CRM, or is there a way to select multiple entries in the Advance Find option (so I could in effect Paste the whole list of CustomerIDs into one line with some sort of separator).

    You can do one thing. add a new boolean field on contact. Keep the default value as no. export the contacts with that field. Copy those contacts to an excel file and keep the external list in another excel sheet. Apply vlookup to match. Update the boolean field to yes for those who matched. Now re-import contacts. now while adding the contacts to a marketing list you can filter by that boolean field = yes.
