On our Test GP 2010 sp1 server I am running through the install pacakge MicrosoftDynamicsGP11-KB2599505-ENU.msp.

After running it and rebooting, I run GP Utilities and get 3 popup messages that Forms.dic, Reports.dic, and HRMSS-F.dic need to be upgraded. After clicking ok to get through these popups, I get an Add-In Initialization Error popup message...

     Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.BusinessIntelligence.BIReportDeploymentDU.dll:

Data type WindowHelp does not exist in the dictionary.

    Parameter name: datatypeName

Then GP utilities stops working and gets an APPCRASH

The Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.BusinessIntelligence.BIReportDeploymentDU.dll exists in the C:\GP2010\AddInsDU folder, and I believe was put there by the msp, since it's not in my backup copy of the GP 2010 folder.

Ideas?

    Hi David,

For what it's worth, I'm running build 1860 and the similar file in my Addins folder has the following specs:

    version: 11.0.1761.0

    created: 4/14/2011

    size: 24.9 kb

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    David,

Try to move that DLL file to your desktop and launch Dynamics Utilities.  If you are succesfull, go through the upgrade process on your dictionaries.  Once complete, add that DLL file back into the AddIn's folder and launch GP.  Hopefully the error concerning the BI reports will not come up again.

    Regards,

    Aaron

Something happened to to GP folder a while back. I found another copy of the folder and used that to run through the installation.

It's just taking soooo long with 25 companies...

    Happy new year!
