Unable to create Personal View using Team Roles

Posted on by 15

Hello,

I have a team which has create privileges for View(Advance Find Personal View Entity). Users in team dont have any extra roles rather than team roles.  But still users are not able to create personal view from Advance Find. Any views?

They have fixed this with newer versions of Dynamics. You can set the security role (that you have on the team) to include Direct User access levels and team access. Then it will work with only security roles on the teams.

I found the reason for this. Personal view is always at be user level and that is the reason you cant even increase privileges of "Saved View" from user level to BU level or organization level. So, Saved View can not work with team as team requires organization or BU level access to create record.

    Hi Priya,

Are you facing any issue while creating it or not even seeing the Create option?

    Cheers

    See the SDK: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531089.aspx

    About owner teams

An owner team can own one or more records. To make a team an owner of the record, you must assign a record to the team.

While teams provide access to a group of users, you must still associate individual users with security roles that grant the privileges they need to create, update, or delete user-owned records. These privileges can't be applied by assigning security roles to a team and then adding the user to that team.
