SQL to BC Database

I know you can connect your CRM database from SQL.  I also know you can connect your PowerBI to your D365 BC cloud database.

I'm trying to get connect my D365 Cloud database to SQL so I can query the data.   I'm struggling to get this to work.  I can't seem to get the server name for the Cloud database, similar to how you do it with CRM.

Is there anybody doing this?

Where can I find the server name?

Am I going about this wrong?

    If you are using BC online you have no direct access to the SQL database. You have to use API's, Dataverse or some other kind of technology to access your data.  The technology you should chose depends on what you will use your data for.

    Hi, You can link the BC On-Premises local database from BC SaaS, but I think the usage you expect is different.
