I need to enable server-based SharePoint integration

I am trying to connect SharePoint to a model-driven app, but when I try to validate the SharePoint site, I keep getting an error during the validation process.

I have read the technical documentation and I am now trying to enable server-based SharePoint integration, but I am not sure how to activate the process correctly.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you!

    For sure @iampranjal

    It´s in Spanish, sorry!

I´m not pretty sure if the Power Platform Tenant and the SharePoint Tenant are in the same location. I clicked on the URL to enable the integration assistant but I receive a 404 error too :'(

    Hey @MinDev404,

    Thanks for sharing the screenshot!

This error usually has nothing to do with your Tenant location or regions, so you don't need to worry about that part yet.

The error message in your screenshot ("Direcciones URL absolutas detectadas") translates to "Absolute URLs detected." This happens when your Dynamics 365 environment contains old "Document Location" records that point to a full website address (e.g., https://site.sharepoint.com/...) instead of a relative path.

Server-based integration is strict and only allows Relative URLs. This often happens if the environment previously used the old "List Component" or if data was imported incorrectly.

Here is how to fix it:

    • Open Advanced Find (or "Edit Filters" in a modern view).

    • Look for the table: SharePoint Document Locations.

    • Add the column "Absolute URL" to your view.

    • Set the filter criteria to: Absolute URL -> Contains Data.

    • Run the query.

Any records that show up in this list are blocking the wizard. To proceed, you must either delete these specific records or update them to use the Relative URL field (associated with a parent SharePoint Site record) instead.

Once you clear those Absolute URL records, the validation wizard should let you proceed!

Let me know if that clears the error for you.
