Tax Releated Pages are missing from BC W1 18.1 (Platform 18.0.24800.26311 + Application 18.1.24822.26330)

Hi Everyone,

I have a weird problem, I'm running BC W1 18.1 (Platform 18.0.24800.26311 + Application 18.1.24822.26330) azure server and I can't find tax-related pages on BC. For example Tax Area, Tax Jurisdictions etc. same version is installed on my local machine and it works without any issue.

can anyone help me with this issue? I have also checked permissions and everything seems to be fine.

    Hi Shanila,

    Was the BC database on the Azure server upgraded from Dynamics NAV previously? If so, it may be that the relevant pages were not made Searchable during the upgrade for some reason. The following documentation explains in more detail: Making Pages and Reports in the MenuSuite Searchable After Upgrade - Business Central | Microsoft Docs 

    Can you access the relevant pages directly (without searching) by adding the "?Page" parameter to the Business Central URL, e.g. to open the Tax Jurisdiction page: http://localhost:8080/BC180/?page=466

    If the problem persists then you could open a support ticket with Microsoft via your Solution Provider or Business Central Partner.

    Thank you for feedback,

    1. The database was not upgraded from Dynamics NAV. It is directly installed and I'm using the demo database as well.

    2. Yes, I can access the pages directly, also, if I check customer card or vendor card for tax-related fields like tax area code or tax liable boolean, those fields are hidden as well.

    is it possible that those pages and fields could be hidden according to regional settings?

    What are your thoughts on this? any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Hi Shanila,

    Maybe there is a difference in the licensing options in the two environments you are comparing, e.g. if the license permissions are more restrictive in your Azure environment.

    Also check how the "UI Element Removal" configuration option is specified in both environments. You can see this in the Admin tool (General Tab) or in the relevant CustomSettings.config file as option "UIElementRemovalOption".

    If the above suggestions do not help then please consider opening a support ticket with Microsoft via your Solution Provider or Business Central Partner so the matter can be investigated in detail.
