We are building an application where we would like to scan the serial number of an item, and this item is has already been entered in the Sales order and then processed down to the shipping order. After scanning that serial number into our application, it can go to Business Central and get the shipment order number, the Customer, Product Item no, and the Item Description.
We are not able to find anything in the API's where we can utilize the Serial Numbers of an item in an way.
Can you point us in the right direction or suggest an alternative?
