Hi,

Could you please let me know all the possibilities of tracking emails into Dynamics 365 CRM , from other devices as listed below. Thanks in Advance !!

Can we track emails & appointments from outlook ( Windows OS Desktop/computer ) ? - Yes, its' possible, I tried this (like most of others)

Can we track emails & appointments from outlook (Apple/MAC OS Desktop/computer ) ?

Can we track emails & appointments from outlook app installed on andriod mobile ?

Can we track emails & appointments from outlook app installed on ios mobile ?

Can we track emails & appointments from native mail app installed on andriod mobile ?

Can we track emails & appointments from native mail app installed on ios mobile ?

    Hi Dynamics 365 CRM,

    You can track emails with with Dynamics 365 for Outlook and the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

    The Dynamics 365 App for Outlook features supported depend on the client you're running. The following table summarises which features are supported for each client/configuration of Dynamics 365 and Exchange. Tablets are not supported at this time.

    Clients supported for each Dynamics 365 App for Outlook feature

    1. Outlook on the web supports Internet Explorer 10, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, Safari 9, Safari 10, Firefox, and Chrome.
    2. Mobile Outlook on the web supports Windows 8.1, Windows 10, iOS 8, iOS 9, iOS 10, Android KitKat (4.4), Android Lollipop, Android Marshmallow, and Android Nougat.
    3. Tracking email in compose mode and tracking appointments requires Exchange Server 2013 CU14 or Exchange Server 2016.
    4. Tracking contacts is supported only on Exchange Server2016 CU3 and Outlook 2016 16.0.6741.1000 and later.
    5. Adding email templates, Knowledge Management articles, and sales literature is not supported in Mobile Outlook on the web.
    6. Supported only on Outlook 2016 16.0.7426.1049 and later.
    7. Supported only on 16.0.6741.1000 and later.
    8. Supported on iPhones 6S or higher, with iOS 8 or higher.

    Hi Adrian,

    Thank you so much for the response. Below is my understanding. Could you please correct me if I am wrong.

    Iphone :

    Let's suppose I have a latest Iphone with me.Then I can only track received emails in CRM, if I have Microsoft Outlook app installed on my phone.I can't do anything (like tracking appointments etc..) apart from email tracking, using the installed Microsoft Outlook app. But, if I open my mailbox through phone browser , then I can even compose email along with tracking received emails.

    Andriod/Windows Phone :

    Same applies as that of Iphone
