add sub-role to a standard role

Posted on by 47
I try to create an extension of a standard security role and add a sub-role but I cannot.
Any advice how to add a sub-role (new created role) to a standard security role?

Can you provide us with more information (such as screenshots of error messages) to help us better solve your problem, at this time the information you provide is not enough for us to make a judgment on your problem?
You can refer to this official documentation: Role-based security - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn. It introduces that security roles can be organized into a hierarchy. The role hierarchy allows the administrator to define a role based on another role. For example, the sales manager role could be defined as a parent role of the manager role and the salesperson role. A parent role automatically inherits the duties, privileges, and conditions that are assigned to its child roles. Therefore, a user who is assigned to the parent role can perform all of the tasks that users in the child roles can perform. A role can have one or more child roles or one or more parent roles.
    Best regards,
