Unable to update the lifecycle state in Released Products page

Hi experts,

I'm using D365 F&O 10.0.18.

When trying to update the product lifecycle state, for some items, the field is greyed out.

For some other items, the field is editable so I can update the product lifecycle state accordingly.

Does anyone know why this field is greyed out?

    It turns out this item was already converted to engineering product.

    So, I was able to update the product lifecycle state in the Engineering Change Order page.

    Additional findings: 

    If I update the lifecycle state in ECO, then the state gets updated only for a specific version. This will not show updated state in Released Products page.

    To avoid this issue, I think we should update the state in the following path. (see below screenshot)
