I would like to find an easier way to export data from dynamics 365 .When I use the export options e.g. Dynamics Worksheet or Dynamic Pivot Table it only exports entity header information not the detail .

I did find a data export App from app source but the entity I want to export from is a custom entity  and that app only exports to a SQL Azure database the sales ,customer service, Field service and Project service modules .

I have also tried to the Advanced find tool but ,Iam just trying to make  things  simple any ideas ?

    Advanced Find is easy:

    Select entity

Select View or use new to set own criteria

Edit columns that you want can also include linked columns

    Select Results

    Export to excel

The Data export service works for custom entities too - it’s a fantastic way of getting to your data using SQL queries.

See my video about it https://youtu.be/txms2Yvn6Vc

    Hope this helps

You can add to export by mark your custom entity with change tracking checkbox option.

next, reconfigure data export by adding your custom entity.

    Bye,

    Enrico
