Two users with same domain login name

Hi all

I have two users with same domain login name as an example:

RT\asd  (enable user)

RT\asd  (disable user)

remaining information are change. I have one active directory record against RT\asd.

I am unable to login in CRM. How can I resolve this issue?

    I would suggest you to delete both users and create a new user.

    You can assign the records to another user. Check the EventViewer to see why user is unable to login. I think there is some user group missing from user in AD.

    Is at possible that you have two users with same name and domain name like I have? I think no. If I have than What should I do now? This is the simple Question. I think so.

    Seeing as you are unable to 'delete' a user in CRM without doing some SQL manipulation-- a feature that I find highly annoying and completely unnecessary-- what I usually do in this situation is just rename the disabled user's login to something generic e.g. disabled_asd

    Is crm allows me to update user from CRM? or I have to update it from sql? Are you sure after updating I have no such error?

    Hi Abdul,

    It is not supported in CRM to create two user with same domain name.

    Basically CRM checks when you create a user that the user exist or not.

    If it is case of corrupted AD then please check this:

    celedonpartners.com/.../reconnecting-active-directory-accounts-in-dynamics-crm

    But if someone has created otherwise then it must be using unsupported way only i.e. SQL manipulation.

    You can go ahead and delete the user in such case from SQL. But make a backup of DB and be that relationships with this record are been taken care of.

    Its not a simple step.

    I should've asked earlier but is there a specific error message that you receive when you attempt to login using that user?

    I received this error

    I realised that I have two users with same name and domain one is enabled and one is disabled. I assume that this error occurs because of two same name and same domain users. Is my assumption is correct or wrong?
