Free text field on customer card

Is there any way to have a free test field on customer cards that can be pulled through to picking lists and sales orders, but not show on final invoices?

For example, if a customer needs a specific packing configuration, or booking in procedure so it would show for the warehouse when picking

(please forgive the basic questions, I'm fairly new to the system - NAV2018)

You can use extended text connected to the items. In the extended text you can define what sales / purchase documents you want the extended text to be printed on. You might have to do some report customization to make it work 100% like you want to.

Hi, I suggest you add a new field to manage your specific needs.

If you want to use standard fields, maybe Name 2 is a good choice, as this is not often used. But this field is not displayed directly on the page and also requires a small customization.

You can also try other features, such as the Comment.

Hi,

For this use No. 2 field or if you length constraint, then Create New field in Item Table for achieving the requirement
