The activity timeline quick expand/collapse option on click of the activity header used to expand and collapse the activity record prior to the 2022 Release Wave 2 updates being applied. This functionality has now been replaced by "View More" and "View Less" hyperlinks in the footer of the activity record. I cannot find anything relating to this feature change in the release plan.
I wonder if anyone else has faced the same issue, which I would classify as a step backwards in activity timeline usability. Many of our users are complaining they now have to scroll to the bottom of very lengthy emails to locate the "View Less" action link, in order to collapse the email in the timeline. I don't understand how this can be considered an improvement.
Thanks for the link. We have already tried playing around with the ordering of the Email activity command ordering, to no avail. Regardless of the command ordering, the "Reply All" action link always appears next to the carat. The only success we had was by deselecting the "Reply All" option, however this also led to the carat disappearing altogether.
Nice feature improvement, but feels a little half baked.
Let me know if you have better luck.
Found a very nice explanation on how to change the order of the "Reply all" / "reply" / "Forward"

I was going to look into it this morning but to my surprise, I noticed I'm in the same situation now. Default is now, "Reply All"
Maybe it adjusts according to what is used more often. I checked with my other colleagues and they all have the "reply all" as default.
But none of them complained so far because they all open the email first before using reply or reply all.
We are also missing the images in our emails in the timeline. Only when opening the record, the image becomes visible. This behavior is not showing up for the Workspace app, only the Customer service app.

[/quote]We have reported this as an issue to Microsoft and a fix has been promised for 28th October for APAC region.
This is quite interesting. Our default command is "Reply All", and we have to expand to carat to select "Reply". This has also irritated our clients to no end. Did you have to do anything specific to make "Reply" appear alongside the carat, as the default option?
I can see somebody has already raised an idea for this. Please upvote it if you would like Microsoft to revisit this feature improvement.
I also had an issue when trying to reply, I noticed i had selected the 'reply' instead of the 'reply all' icon. But when looking closer, I noticed the icons are still there
Agreed, this is a major step backward. Our team also gets lengthy emails and has to scroll to collapse it is awful. Just clicking on it was so much nicer. We have also found that when we click on the Reply icon for the email, it no longer opens the email record. It creates a reply email, but we have to refresh the screen in order to see it at the top of the Timeline. We have put a new process in place that users can't use the Reply, Reply All, or Forward icons, they must open the email record every time. (I have a support ticket logged for the Reply issue.) And lastly, we no longer can see the Reply All or Forward icons, we have to click a down arrow to get to them. Our teams only use the Reply All, so this is yet again another setback for us.
We are also missing the images in our emails in the timeline. Only when opening the record, the image becomes visible. This behavior is not showing up for the Workspace app, only the Customer service app.

I got the same remarks from my colleagues. Thank you for bringing this up.
