Hello All

When a user registers to the portal they need to be able to confirm their email before they gain access to the portal features , currently I have set email confirmation to true

Authentication/Registration/RequiresConfirmation - True

and ADX Signup Email workflow is activated but i keep getting the following error when the confirm email button is sellected.

Any troubleshooting ideas people? / Colin V?

    Hi Teddy,

Did you have a look if there are any errors in "ADX Signup Email" workflow?

Also enable Plugin Trace logs from Settings > Administration > System Settings > Customization >
Plug-in and custom workflow activity tracing > Enable logging to plug-in trace log and select All, redo the steps and see if there are any errors.

Usually, we can look at the Trace.axd for errors but with Dynamics 365 Portals, this is not enabled. May be create a support ticket with Microsoft to see if they can enable Trace.axd.  Worth a try.

    Cheers,

    Nadeeja

Check the sender/from on the email is allowed/approved to send mail.  Might be that they are not approved.  If I remember correctly they have the owner of the user being the default sender.  That is the usually culprit, as not every owner/user in the CRM is approved, otherwise the advice Nadeeja is where I would start.

    Hi,

Tenfold just recently added MS office 365 to their integrations list. Tenfold offers features such as click to dial, automatic call logging, easy note taking and task creation, screen pops on inbound and outbound calls, new lead/contact creation when no matching records, support for cases/opportunities and advanced analytics on the backend. They also support MS Dynamics integration.

RE: CRM Portal (365 Portal) : Email Confirmation Issue

    Hello all,

I was getting the same error before but now the issue is I'm not getting any email when I click on 'Confirm Email'.

The Owner of the workflow is different than the Sender.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

RE: CRM Portal (365 Portal) : Email Confirmation Issue

I know this thread is a little older, but i did find a nice post that addresses this exact issue.  In this article the author does highlight that the culprit is indeed the sender of the email from Dynamics:

    https://community.dynamics.com/enterprise/b/daringdynamics/archive/2017/04/24/dynamics-365-portal-confirm-email-error

It's probably best practice that all automated system emails are sent from a dedicated, public facing, user/queue that has the capability to send from the related CRM mailbox.
