Check Links record already locked on inventory items

I was running check links on the item master tables when I received the 'record already locked' error message. I immediately discovered the part number it was having issues with was sitting in the SY00801 table along with about 100 other item numbers. What would populate the SY00801 with these records? RULEID was 1000 and RSCSTATE was 1001. The field RSRCID contained the part number.

    This was caused by items not having a description. Check links apparently takes exception to this and creates these records. The solution was to update the item description.

    Hi Richard,

    I am glad to hear you were able to resolve this issue.  The Description field on the Item Card is a required field so this would make sense to me that the code could run into issues if they were imported without one.
