Populate lookup based on selection of another lookup

Hi,

I want to populate a lookup based on a another lookup selection.

- The main lookup references to the entity [ team ]
- The second lookup references to a custom entity which contains 8 records. One of attributes contains the [ team ] attribute

When team lookup is populated I want to populate the second lookup with record containing the same team.

Not sure if its best to do this in a plugin using a custom workflow activity or J-Script.

Please provide useful references.

    Hi,

    You could use Related record filtering which which filter the options of your second lookup and will give you the one related to the select team.

    Do not that this won't auto populate the value so user has to select it. If you want to auto populate it with the value then, yes, you need to write javascript and use Web APi to retrieve the details and set it.
