FRx_SL2011_93Fix *again* after running SBI script to add new company?

Good Day,

Does anyone know if after running FRx_65_67_Server_Based_Index_Scripts_Combined to add in a new company in FRx, the FRx_SL2011_93Fix has to be run again? A couple months ago, we ran the 93Fix script and the SQL Server Message 93 appeared to disappear.  A couple weeks ago, we added a new company in FRx and ran the SBI script.  Today, the SQL Server Message 93 appeared again.  There hasn't been any other changes to Dynamics SL since the 93Fix script was run.

Because of the security measures in this company, I will need good evidence for running the 93Fix script again.  Based on that, I am hoping someone else has encountered this so we don't have to go through sufficient testing again.

Thanks,

Renee

That hot fix makes changes to frl_acct_code table and the FRx_65_67_Server_Based_Index_Scripts recreates the content of that table so, upon initial review, it sure appears that you would have to run that hotfix if you rerun that script.  Perhaps someone has a more definitive answer on this but I would run it again.

Thanks Rick.  I thought the same...based on what I see in the script.

These SQL 93 errors we see in SL 2011 are usually due to having the Set NoCount Off.

In earlier versions,  SQL didn't seem to care.

I believe that the modification to that file is setting NoCount On  and then at the very bottom of the script,  not turning it off.

We ran the FRxSP10 Trigger and Rebuild Trigger scripts after running the FRx_SL2011_SQL 93 Fix.

Should the SQL 93 Fix be run after the Trigger scripts?

Do the trigger scripts reverse the changes made by the 93 script?

    Hey Chuck,

I found that I had to - the SBI script isn't updated.

Thanks for the reply.  When you say SBI script do you mean FRxSP10? These scripts look almost identical.  Do I only have to run the SQL 93? Is this script an updated version of the FRxSP10?

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Yes, the server_based_index_script for FRx.  The only script I have for FRx is FRx_65_67_Server_Based_Index_Scripts (and then of course the fix script).  The SBI script has referenced to 'set no count off' which is the culprit....so if your script has those commented out or not in it, then it should be fine.  I would think though you have the same script so you should run the 93 fix after.

We use SL2011 and got an SBI Script error on the E7 user with this version of the script.

Please make sure you have an updated version if you are working with SL2011.
