US Payroll update - correct KB needed

Hello, I am wondering what the KB number is for the US Payroll Tax update Round 2.  I need the one with the 941 report fix included.  I was given the number of KB2492915 but that says Canadian Payroll update - so I am confused because at the same time it states *includes fix for US Payroll 941 report.  Please advise if I can use this update?

    Are you on version 10 or 2010? FYI - Below is for 10 - version 2010 is further down

    ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
    GP 10
    MicrosoftDynamicsGP-KB2492915-V10-ENU.exe
    This KB was re-released. Below is the notice from Microsoft
    **Important** When you create your Electronic W2 filing and you have a combination of Hire Act employees and multiple companies you will need to create the Electronic W2 File separately for each company.  If you create one file including all companies the Hire Act employees will not include the RO record indicating that they are a Hire Act Employee for subsequent companies.
    Round 2 Tax Update for 2011 has been re-released (code change - February 2, 2011).  This download (MicrosoftDynamicsGP-KB2492915-V10-ENU.exe) fixes the issues below.
    Check Register - When you have Direct Deposit employees the Direct Deposit Check Register will still show the incorrect amount for Employer FICA Owed.  You will need to print the Reprint Check Register (Reports | Payroll | Reprint Journals) in order to show the correct Employer FICA Owed amount.
    941 changes
    - 941 Preparation Report will be correct through 6e.  The rest will be understated.
    - 941 Schedule B Preparation Report will be understated.  Report is taking Employee total times 2 instead of taking Employer amount.
    - Form 941 Schedule B will be understated.  Report is taking Employee total times 2 instead of taking Employer amount.
    Round 3 - scheduled to be released mid-February (data change)
    - Illinois
    - Maine
    - Maryland
    - Puerto Rico
    Round 4 - scheduled to be released mid-March (code change)
    - Oregon
    - 941 changes
    - Federal Tax Liabilities List 941 amount will be understated.
    Important Note: The FICA/Social Security withholding changed for employees from 6.2% to 4.2% in 2011.  Round 1 included the change to both the Employee and Employer portion due to Microsoft Dynamics GP calculation being based from one amount.  Due to this, General Ledger posting, inquiries and reports that show FICA amounts for employers will be calculated using 4.2% for payruns that are processed with Round 1.  Round 2 Tax Update includes changes to the employer portion to bring back to 6.2%.  We understand the challenges you face with this: however, it was important to release with accurate employee paychecks starting January 1, 2011.
    Round 2 Tax Update for 2011 has been released.  Round 2 update includes a data and code change.  This update requires that the Automatic/Manual Update be processed along with installing the msp file on all workstations.
    Hi Leslie,
    Though this posting is quite old, I'm looking about information how to setup the US Payroll tax tables ... ?  We use only the Canadian Payroll module until now and are looking into starting to use the Payroll module also for our US branch office, but I can't find how to setup it up... I keep getting a message about missing tax tables that are not setup.
    Thanks in advance for your tips and have a nice week-end,
    Beat
    Hi Richard,
    Thanks for the info... I was in fact able to run this procedure in the Fabrikam (TWO) company where it works perfectly, but when it comes to use it in one of the other home companies, then I get a message stating that the module is not registered and that we have to contact our partner.... Does that mean that even with our recent switch to BRL mode, the US Payroll is not included in our licensing ?
    Payroll is an A LA Carte option. You pay additionally for it based on the number of employees. The same is true for HR.
