Issue with Bulk Record Deletion

I have been trying to bulk delete the orders , but the bulk deletion job seems to be stuck after deleting a certain number of records. I tried to pause it and again resume the job, but its status is  still shown as "pausing" for the last few days. I checked that there were no errors in the job. Please suggest a solution.

    Hi

    I would look at adding a date filter into this per yer, That way it should complete quicker but you will need to add in a few extra jobs, Also make sure that the orders don't have a linked invoice as that is a dependancy

    Hi ,

    Check whether the asynchronous service are running in the server, if not then restart the services because the bulk deletion is an asynchronous type of service may be this issue due to that.

    We had trouble with bulk deletes for process sessions and added indexes to ProcessSessionBase table:  OriginatingSessionID, PreviousLinkedSessionId and NextLinkedSessionId.  Now we've been able to do bulk deletes AND Dynamics is running faster!!!

    Hi,

    It happens when there are too many background process get triggered on record deletion. When any order record get deleted then reference of that order get removed from any related record and if there is any plugin/workflow is registered on update then new process get started and it will lead to too many  process get triggered.

    For solving your problem disable workflow/plugins which are triggering on order deletion and update of related entities. After disabling plugin/workflow bulk deletion will be very fast.
