SmartyStreets Address Autocomplete and Validation

Hi Community Experts,

Looking to utilize SmartyStreets for address validation in Business Central.  Would like to be able to call this in an Online Business Central environment on forms like:

  1. Customer Card - Entering Address Information for customer.
    1. Autocomplete as start typing address information
    2. Validate address after entering
  2. Sales Order - Custom Address
    1. Autocomplete as start typing custom address
    2. Validate address after entering

I am new to Business Central extensions and wondering if this is possible within BC Online to make these types of customizations and integrate with this service.

It looks like I would follow the approach here, does this make sense?

Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Drew

    Hi Drew,

I'd recommend using the "Ready to Go" Resources to get the information you need to proceed with this project: Ready to Go - Business Central | Microsoft Docs

    Hi Gearoid,

This looks pretty generic.  Overall I want to make sure this is possible to be able to autocomplete address and validate the address information with a tool like SmartyStreets with BC.  It looks like this is possible with the AL extensibility.  Does this sound correct?

    Thanks much,

    Hi Drew,

I can't confirm if this is the best approach for what you are trying to achieve. Hopefully someone in the community can give a direct answer on this thread. If you don't get when you need here then the "Ready to Go" coaching and training resources could certainly help.

Another option (if there is no direct answer on this thread) would be to ask the question in the D365 Business Central Development Yammer group: www.yammer.com/dynamicsnavdev

    Hope it goes well.
