Hi,
It is not possible to prevent Sales Orders to enter within a certain time horizon ? E.g. If I have a 3 days LT on a MTO item, I do not want Sales Orders to be placed before 3 days out in the future - it is not an option that the sales takers need to remember this when placing an order, I want D365FO to prevent this from being possible,

Prevent Sales Orders from entering within a time horizon

Hi,

There is no built-in functionality to prevent Sales Orders from being entered within a specific time horizon. However, you can achieve this requirement through customization or development.

One possible solution is to create a custom validation rule that checks the requested delivery date of the sales order against the lead time of the MTO item. If the requested delivery date is within the lead time period, an error message can be displayed to prevent the sales order from being created.
