Alternate Key shows Pending State Forever

Hello Experts,

I have a development environment, on this environment we have defined an Alternate Key .

When exported a managed solution from dev environment and imported into the other environment, the Alternate Key stays in pending and it stays like that forever.

Also checking the System Job doesn't give much information.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

    This usually happens when multiple records exist that have the same combined alternate key in the target system. Run an advanced find for the fields that make up the alternate key on the entity in question and I'm sure you will find duplicate results. Changing the values of one of those duplicate records (across every pair of duplicates) will allow the key to be created once there are no duplicates.

    Thanks Ben for your prompt reply. But, to update you it was just the first time I was taking over my managed solution over to the Target environment, which means the entity to which this Alternate Key is related to didn't exist until the import happened.

    Can you try creating solution only including Alternate key and its dependencies.

    It seems you are using CRM on premise, try to enable tracing and see if any pointer recorded there.
