SQL is limiting the number of rows I'm able to Import

So I'm NOT as SQL expert by any means.  Here is the scenario.1. I'm using a sql data base with MSFT RMS point of sale.  I've used an import utility many times to import inventory into my data base using and.csv file.  Done it many times with 100's of rows.  I was testing my newest import by grabbing, in this case 19 rows of data. I successfully imported the 19 rows and was ready to import the lion share 500 rows.  Somehow the import previously has now made it so i can't import more than 19 rows. If i select 15 items, it duplicates row 15 4 times to maintain the 19 rows.

By chance I was in the process of swapping out the hardware that hosts the SQL database and upgrading my SQL server to server studio 2017 from a previous version. I thought this would solve my problem. Nope.  Of course i can't start with a new database so to me, it's something in the database that has somehow throttled the ability to import anything more than 19.

I'm using the old QSIimport utilty from SMS. Of course it is free and not warrantied, but seems the only option i've ever found or used.  It has worked many times, just not now....

I've gone to different workstations, same result. reinstalled new version of the import utility, same issue. I've grabbed say line, 300-330 from my .csv file, same issue.  I've made new spreadhseets with limited columns, same issue. Does anyone have any ideas, 1, WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? 2. HOW DO I FIX IT?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Wine

Have you tried rebooting the SQL Server machine?

Can you validate the version of SQL? Is it SQL Server 2017 Express?

Just a note that Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 ended on July 10, 2016; and extended support ends on 7/13/2021:

This is less than 7 weeks from now; and you can continue using RMS after this date, but technical support will not be available.

I would recommend checking with your partner regarding what they may recommend as a replacement system after the extended support end date.

Thanks Todd. I went a step further and replaced my SQL server ( was an already planned upgrade).  I did finally mange today to stop, redo all my steps, clean data in excel, and managed to get it to work.  not sure what it was, but i got it upload.

    Thanks
