Dears,

When i try to create a new contact i receive the message Error Code: 0x80040224

An unexpected error occurred from ISV code. (ErrorType = ClientError) Unexpected exception from plug-in (Execute): Plugins.ContactCreate: System.Exception: User does not have a Configuration record and no Configuration record has been set as the Default.

Yes. There were some post deployment items that I missed.

Everything is not yet working perfectly but I am getting closer.

Are you able to add contacts. I had the same problem. was told that it is an issue with incomplete installation of fundraising & engagement which is causing the issue.

Did something in Powershell to resolve.

Perfect! I can now add records! TY!

Ended up with a downstream error trying to delete:

The Target is NOT an Entity. Exiting plugin.

OneEyedJack, you should specifically review the "Post-Deployment Tasks" section in the Deploy F&E page:

Then more details on setting up the configuration record in the F&E Configuration section:

The error message explains what the problem is and how to resolve it. Set up a configuration record, and assign that configuration record to the system user who is creating the contact. If you mark the configuration record as the default configuration, then that configuration will also be used in the case where a system user has no configuration assigned.

What Rajesh says is true, but does not address the question. The Azure components are not required for most system operations, including creating contacts.

Thank you for reaching out.

To perform any functionality in F&E it requires an azure setup to authenticate a dynamic’s calls.

You need to first deploy the azure component to F&E functioning. Please follow the deployment guide for deployment and user guide for F&E functionality.
