I am creating an Attribute with Data type as Currency, Now in precision selection i have 7 options.
Option 1 Pricing Decimal precision - This take precision value from System Setting,
Which is set to 3 and when i select that Option for my attribute, Field has precision of 3
if i change to 4, Decimal precision for this attribute also changes to 4.
As shown below
Option 2 Currency precision
Now the issue is here,
As far as i know we can set Decimal precision for currency at three location,
Attribute.
System Setting and
Currency in business setting area of Setting.
I have precision decimal set to 3 in Currency precision of business setting.
When i create attribute with Data type as currency and precision value as Currency precision .
I Believe the precision decimal value will be taken from Business Management as shown below.
But Attribute which is created using This option of precision always has decimal precision as 2.
I dont know whats wrong with this or i am missing anything.
Other Option are 0 to 4 - This is working as Expected with Specified Decimal.
In Short of All : I cannot see any impact of precision set in currency.
Why Attribute created with precision value as "Currency Precision" is set to 2 decimal???
