manage lot tracking for items

We are wanting to find a way to either have lot numbers assigned automatically if not provided base on FIFO or if that isn't an option to just turn off lot tracking for the items.

    Brian,

    If you have already setup an Item with Lot Tracking, to turn-off, you will need to create a NEW Item and then move the Inventory from the old Item to the new one.

    When you say have lot numbers automatically assigned, are you speaking during Order Entry? Where? BC will not auto-insert the Lot Number upon entry. You can have your Partner write an extension to do this for you.

    Hi, as Steve said, you cannot change Item Tracking setup if there are one or more ledger entries for this item.

    You need to create a new item.
