UDF at Sales Line Item (SOP)

Dear All,

We have a requirement to capture date and few other data at sales line item level.  The user defined field of SOP is can be used only header level, but we wanted at line level.  I was thinking few options as follows.

1) Build a new extender window and attach the same for sales line item

2) Developing new Dexterity window

Have any of you had this situation and what is the best way to handle this.

    Hi Babu,

If you are looking forms something without customization you may go with the Extender. point to be noted while using Extender .The tricky part is extender has its own table structures, you may have to link the extender tables with the SOP tables in order to read and display the data on the reports(Report Writer).

I had a similar situation where one of my client was not having the licence for Extender, so   I had to go with the dexterity customization.

    Babu,

We can easily create a new customization in dexterity with saving addition line level values to our own custom table. I have done lot of customization like what you expected.

If you need any other information feel free to contact me.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Babu,

I have a similar need. My client has a unit of measure of case6 and he wants to also display the unit price not just the case price. What options do I have for adding such a UDF to the line detail? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Rafael.
