Hello Community,

I'm very new in Business Central and now searching for help as I'm lost with my knowledge.

How to Set Up Cost Centres - Dynamics NAV | Microsoft Docs

In this document there was stated that I need to select the Option "Update Cost Acctg. Dimensions" that I can define a dimension as a cost center dimension. Unfortunately I can't find this window (even in the german language).

So can someone explain to me what is wrong with my D365 Business Cental?

Thank you very much

    Hello Dennis,

Please use the help for Business Central - this is kept updated
Setting Up Cost Accounting - Business Central | Microsoft Docs

Did you start from the Cost Center page and tried to use the function
"Get Cost Types from Chart of Accounts"?

And then ... in the Cost Centers and the Cost Objects ... did you use the function "Get Cost Center / Object from Dimension" ?

Hi Dirk, thank you for replying so fast to me. Basically the Link you have send me looks like equal from the content. I was able to use "Get Cost Types from Chart Accounts". I'm not sure if this will fulfil my needs.

The function "Get Cost Center Object from Dimension" always provides me 0 entries. I think that I don't have a Cost Center Dimension. This is why I was looking for this button described in your link.

What I wanted to achive is this paragraph:

It looks like I found it!

    I was navigating to:

    - Cost Accounting Setup / Kostenrechnungseinrichtung

    - Actions / Aktionen

    - Functions / Funktionen

    - Update Cost Acctg. Dimensions / Kostenrechnungsdimensionen aktualisieren
