On change of statuscode field and save , subgrids + plus button is hidden ?

Hi All,

On change of statuscode field , All subgrids  + plus buttons is getting hide on the form ? I dont know why it is happening ?

throughly checked there is no js on fieldchange, no customizations through ribbon..

There is one plugin on status change where onchange of it plugin is making related records inactive 

can anyone help  me out of this

    Hi ,

    This is by design , you can not add related record from an inactive record.

    If you want to add the subgrid  record of inactive records then you can go the the child entity directly and add the records there by selecting parent lookup.

    Hi Goutam,

    There is only 1 plugin which is just deactivating the related records but the subgrid + plus buttons are hidden for other related entities as well

    I have few questions  -

    Which records you are deactivating ?

    In which records you have the subgrids?

    How you are triggering the plugins , are you using ribbon button ?

    I have a entity called "agreement" , and it has subgrids benefecieries,services,lineitems  ( related records.)

    when the statuscode field from agreement form when it is set to active , it is fine but when it is set to expired or pending (customized statusreason field) , all the subgrids + plus button are hidden and this issue was not there untill last week ,  suddenly i am facing this issue.

    Hi pillanagrovi  ,

    What is the status of the records , I mean statecode ?  Is it inactive (statecode=1)?

    As I mentioned for inactive record this is expected behavior for new release of Dynamics 365 .Did you check if there is update provided in your instance recently.

    I have checked in two version -

    Version 1710 (9.1.0.876) online ->  Button is hiding for inactive records (State Code =1)

    Version 8.1.0.359  Onpremise->  Button is showing and enable  for inactive records (State Code =1)
