Hi all,

I am trying to set an e-mail template to send invitations to users to register on the support portal. Basically asking user in the email to click the link where there is an unique invitation code generated by Create invitation function.

The problem is that the part with invitation code (in the email template it is a dynamic variable) is not included in the link: by clicking the link, the system opens only the portal registration page without invitation code and to register it necessary to copy-past the invitation code from e-mail. In the same time I can copy-paste the full link to browser and then it opens the page correctly filling-in the invitation code field. Anybody has run into something similar or have any idea how to solve it? Thanks!

Hi,

check out the auxiliary workflow functions that the Portal solutions will import into CRM, e.g. "Portals: Encode Invitation Code" or "Portals: Send Invitation Code".

in the Send Invitation workflow make sure there isn't a space before the invitation code merge field and the rest of the url part

As you can see the code in the email, it will just be an issue with the either how the hyperlink is set or the space issue

Thanks for advise but I have double checked the link, there is no space before the invitation code merge, in the template it looks like

**/register/?returnurl=%2&invitation={Invintation Code(Invitation)}

and in the emails which I receive looks like

**/register/?returnurl=%2&invitation=jz-Cxb2MlkxCg9J-uhO4yDRejT7gqWK9OK2iGbBIotco-cGty12rvxSIarA6Z1Vs-2zh-owsl0ndpTQtB00gNym184PHM2yWU3vwBdL1ITVhBQKSbepE1p-rrfV5a-DSHwACOdIguaKqCos0kOaKRxWViHud3tL-WkI2xAVdrOo-

but finally the hyperlink contains and opens only: **/register/?returnurl=%2f&invitation=

What also could be wrong?

Finally I have succeeded to resolve the issue by using the email construction from another workflow ADX Sign Up Email. It looks like:

<hyperlink><name>Complete Registration</name><value>crm2011/register" title="{Invitation Code(Invitation)}" style="display: inline;">{Invitation Code(Invitation)}</value></hyperlink>

It works perfectly now. Thanks to all for assistance.
