Hello Guys,

is it possible to have two different Contacts with the same Email and different Usernames? So the same person will have to logout and login to see the data under the second username.. Currently, it is not allowed :/

We can use MS CRM Portals Online or On premise (via source code).

    H Miha!

I think that, perhaps,  it is enough to modify duplicate detection rules, but I am not sure will it work  for the portal or not.

    Hope it helps

Try setting the following Site Setting to "false": Authentication/UserManager/UserValidator/RequireUniqueEmail

From a portal side shouldn't be an issue.

Just make sure that CRM allows you to do that.

The username is not based on the email address.

As mentioned in previous posts, make sure the duplicate detection rules do not interfere, and that you set the RequireUniqueEmail Site Setting to false

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Guys!

    Thank you for helping me!

Authentication/UserManager/UserValidator/RequireUniqueEmail to false solved my problem. The duplicate detection rule for emails on Contact was not active before.

    Hi Miha,

I have added same sitesetting Authentication/UserManager/UserValidator/RequireUniqueEmail to false & also unpublished duplicate detection rule, but I am getting Invalid Sign In attempt issue.

Can you please help me if anything required more.

    Regards,

    Abhishek B.
