Hi Team,
Can you please advice, if the Credit Limit is True or Yes, how can we stop users from creating work orders
- Through the Account
- Directly from the Work Order form
Appreciate if you could assist me on the following request.
There are two ways to create Work Orders in FSM:
- Through the Account
- Directly from the Work Order form
Through the Account:
Work Orders and Agreements are typically created from the Servicing tab located within the Account record. Based on this:
- If the Account is not On Hold, no action is required users will be able to use the account to create new Work Orders or Agreements as usual.
- If the Account is On Hold, I can hide the Servicing tab, preventing users from creating new Work Orders or Agreements.
Directly from the Work Order form:
- A restriction can be applied to the Service Account lookup field so that only Accounts not On Hold are displayed.
This will prevent users from selecting an On Hold Account when creating a Work Order manually. This approach can also be applied to Agreements, if necessary.
If you prefer not to hide the entire tab, an alternative would be to use a read-only form to grey out the entire record. However, this approach would require additional development effort and hasn’t been considered so far, as it could impact user experience—particularly when switching between editable and read-only forms within the system.
Thanking in advance
Best regards,
