Transaction Created Date

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Is there a SQL table for GP 2013 that holds a field for the date a transactions was created regardless if tracking was turned on or off? I am specifically looking at AP documents that I know were created on different date than that of posted / docdate.

Great thank you. I always thought POSTEDDT refers to 'Posting Date' which can be changed. Thanks again.

DEX_ROW_TS will get updated each time there is a change to the transaction. For example - you close the year in the General Ledger and the transactions move from the GL20000 table to the GL30000 table. The DEX_ROW_TS will get updated for all those rows with the date/time the close is done.

In the Payables transaction tables that can also be the date/time the transaction is paid, or the payment terms are updated, regardless of when the transaction is created or posted.

Before using any of these dates as gospel, I recommend testing every scenario in a test company and seeing the results on the date fields.

    Sam,

Excellent, thanks for the additional information. While you cannot see the created date, most (maybe all?) transaction tables will store the POSTED date. That is the date someone actually clicked the Post button. I think that is what you're really after, regardless of when the transaction might have been created.

In PM20000 and PM30200 that is the POSTEDDT.

So is it safe to use DEX_ROW_TX as datecreated?

    Hey Shawn,

I am looking for historical transactions.

I am trying to find AP documents, that were created & posted after we closed 2017 and the posted date and doc date were changed to 2017. I think I left some fiscal periods open and some transactions were posted in the closed year. So I was, thinking, I can write a query that show all docs created in 2018 with 2017 posted , or docdate to narrow my search.

    Thanks for your help!

    Sam,

Most transaction tables in GP will not store a created date, especially after transactions have been posted. Are you looking at this for some sort of performance tracking, or something else?

    Hi Sam,

there is no 'created date' in the PM20000 as this table shows the posted transactions from the AP.

you can find the date that the transaction was posted to this table and the date that record was created in that table in

    ''POSTEDDT'' and ''DEX_ROW_TS''

And of course there are another dates that shows if the document has been edited and the entered document date.

But if you are searching for saved transactions in the AP you can look at PM10000 and it will contain the dates you require in same columns as the PM20000

    Regards,
