Fixed Asset Reclassification Not Found in FA G/L Journals

I have created an FA Reclassification, but I don't find the Fixed Asset G/L Journals capturing the FA Reclass even though there is a message showing the Reclassification has been successful. Rather, I found the asset reclassification journal entry appear in the same batch of Depreciation. You guys have any idea what goes wrong in the setting?

1.  Following shows the Asset Reclassification entry.

2. Following shows empty entry after posted the Asset Reclassification successfully.

3. Found the Asset Reclassification appear in the same batch after perform Depreciation. Noticed the Batch Name in FA G/L Journal screen after performing the 2 event (Reclassifcation and Depreciation) are both different.

4. But when I try to trace the Batch Name, it doesn't appear the same time in General Journal Batches.

    Hi Kelvin,

FA Journal and FA Reclassification Journal are different journals – you can have different templates (and batches) for each:

After performing the reclassification in FA Reclassification Journal, the lines will be create in the fixed asset G/L journal using the template and batch that you have specified on the FA Journal Setup page for the specified depreciation book:

You cannot find the batch from steps 1-2 in your steps 3-4 as it is a different journal template.

More info regarding FA Reclassification here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/fa-how-trans-split-combine

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi Maria,

After reading the resources you shared and few round of testing, I finally get an idea how it links now. Many thanks.
