Hi,

We are creating appointments in Dynamics, however it is taking too long to send out the meeting requests to the attendees. Sometimes it even takes up to 30 minutes to send out the request or to update the appointment in Outlook. We are using Server Side Sync. Is there any way we can improve this?

Thanks

    Hi partner,

Sorry that in D365 module there is still no solutions for email server optimization.

You could raise a ticket to D365 support Team or Exchange support Team for more professional help.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

    Hi Kelly1,

When using SSS for email processing, the item is not immediately created in CRM when you click Track in CRM.  It will be set initially as "Will be tracked".  It should be created in CRM the next time SSS processes the user's mailbox.  This could take up to 15 minutes.  After the email is successfully created in CRM, the status should switch to indicate it is tracked in CRM.  Also the View in CRM and Convert To buttons should be enabled.

For OnPremise environments you can check this guide but if it's Online, then you need to open a support case to investigate the performance delays.

For Online this the SSS guide where it explains the pooling intervals also

Another option is to Use Outlook category to track appointments and emails  docs.microsoft.com/.../use-outlook-category-track-appointments-emails
