Pre-allocate Item tracking (Lot) number to job planning line

Hi All

I know you can reserve purchase or assembly to job panning line, but is there a way to allocate a Lot number (item tracking) on the job planning line before creating a job journal? The field on job planning line is ready only and will get populated once the job journal is posted with a lot number

    Samantha,

    Current functionality does not allow you to insert a Lot No. on the Job Planning Lines. The Lot No. field is read only and probably reads back to the Posted Job Journal entries.

    I would say this is a nice feature but not available today.

    The DEV of this sounds possible. PK of other tables that use it (sales line or item journal) are similar to the job planning line. The bigger task will be getting the values picked up by the job journal when you move them over. But again the data links are there.

    May well be others that have done this but aren’t looking at the forum to tell you. Perhaps you can share how you do it.
