Unable to connect to Dynamics in SSIS Project - Unsupported Browser error

Posted on by 46
I’m working in SSIS on a Windows Server 2022 Standard machine, Visual Studio Enterprise 2022.
I want to set up a connection to Dynamics 365 online using the Kingswaysoft Connector.
I enter the relevant information:
I enter my MFA credentials:
And the login window then presents me with this message:

I’ve updated Edge to the latest version. I’ve also tried setting the default browser to Chrome.
I’ve set the Visual Studio setting to use ‘System web browser’ trying both Edge and Chrome with this option.

Any idea how I can stop Visual Studio from trying to use IE for its authentication at this point?

I worked out that I was stupidly using the wrong credentials when making the connection. Very misleading error in SSIS, but caused by user error on my part. Thanks toPerezAguiar who prompted me to check I could log in OK, which made me realise my mistake.

    Hey

Can you please navigate to that link? https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo  MOst probably, you're pending configuring something on the MFA (an alternate method, or a phone number).  This is not to do with the Edge message but more related with the additional settings.
