Pin Pad VeriFone 1000se

I have Microsoft RMS installed on a win7 64 bit machine, and I have installed the driver for the pin pad, and it shows that it has connection, due it powering on. But when I try and run a debit card transaction, it giving me a error message, and it's not working. I have tested the pin pad in my office numerous time and it works here, but when I'm at the site it doesn't not work at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, is the payment processor the same in your office and at the site where its not working?

    On a side note, I previously tried using win 7 64 bit several years back and had some problems with it working nicely with Rms. I don't recall exactly what the issues were, but I ended up switching to win 7 32 bit and never tried win 7 64 bit again...

    Shawn is right.  Windows 7 32bit works better with RMS.  

    Also until SP4, windows 7 was not supported.  That being said, I have used the verifone 1000SE pinpad on a Win 7 64bit OS before.  It works.  

    Make sure you have not blow out the encryption.  This can happen if the device is serial and the computer that plugged in while hooking it up.  

    Also make sure the processor and the account type is the same.  Also the account has to be setup to accept debit.  This is the likely problem.  Call their processor and confirm the debit is on,  which network it is using (i.e. Star) and which encryption needs to be on the device.

    Thanks for the update, on future installs I will use your recommendation on the OS version. Still haven't got it fixed, but will try this weekend
