Hello,

We have SCADA system and we want to get an ERP system and integrate it with it.

so My Question is:

Is it possible to integrate SCADA with GP?

Appreciate your help.

Dynamics GP present many ways of integrating data.

Integration Manager, eConnect, Web Services, software like Scribe, direct table imports, SQL integration, etc.

As Tim mentioned there are endless ways/solutions out there for integrating with GP. It sounds like you're vetting out Financial systems. In GP eConnect is your "best friend" it's the backbone that connects into GP's business logic, you can utilize native econnect interfaces or the more user friendly UI packages like Scribe and SmartConnect.

I'm guessing you're wanting to integrate SCADA data for PM schedules and asset management purposes. I'm not sure if this is possible with the native system tools. We currently have a separate asset management system to handle this, Infor's EAM. There are third party add-ons for GP that handle asset/field management, WennSoft is one of them. Here's a link that lists out the XML schemas available to use through eConnect.

You might end up building your own mini solution of tables, triggers and stor procs in your GP instance but at the end of the day all you're trying to do is pull data from a SCADA Runtime Historian which is probably SQL Server and dumping it into a SQL Server table.

Thank you Tim &Thank you Tom for dedicating the time to reply.

During my research I have found this link:

It shows that integration is possible with AX but nothing regarding GP. I am still a beginner in this field so I am not sure if this would includes GP.

and Yes our integration purpose is for asset management. and we already have a separate system but our management wants to use MS.Dynamics (still deciding which version GP, AX) & integrate it with SCDA if possible.

I will keep your suggestions into our consideration and let you know with the results. thanks again.

Dear Mamdouht,

That is not exact integration that you are looking for.

Standard integration with SCADA and Dynamics GP and AX are not available as of now.
But the integration is possible.
