Dear Members,

I would like to know whether it is possible to generate Financial reports (i.e Balance sheet, Profit & Loss reports) for a consolidated company having two business units in it. If yes, what would be the steps that I need to follow inorder to meet out my requirement ?

Hi,

It looks like there is a Business Unit Filter on the Acc. Schedule Line table but I am not able to design it on to show you an example.

The financial report could be created using this field to provide BS/P&L by business unit.

Your consolidated company already contains consolidated GL data so you can simply go to the Financial Reporting Page and run your financial statements from there. This is no different than running financial statements in a non consolidated company.

However, if in the consolidated company financial statement you wanted to filter on a specific business unit, then in the Column Layout for a financial report there is a Business Unit Totaling Field that can be used to achieve this.
