Hi,

We want to set up the system so that the worker can enter the expiration date manually when receiving the product via the mobile app, but the batch expiration date field does not appear as in the screenshot. There is only batch number field.

Item model group FEFO controlled - ticked

Batch number tracking dimension - Activated

Tracking number group set up  -  manual

Could you advice me please what I missed in configurations?

Thanks.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Did you select this item model group in product details?

    Hi Dimitriy,

I've removed the FEFO control on my item model group but the system still prevents me from removing the shelf life period?

How did you manage to do this?

    Hi Alice,

    Thank you for your reply.

I cleared FEFO date controlled but I didn't clear the shelf life period in the released product. Once I did it the field appeared.

Regarding PO registration the app forces the employee to fill all the fields there.

    Anyway thanks for your help!

    Hi Dimitriy,

I believe the specification of the shelf life information is required if the FEFO-date control parameter has been activated via the associated item group. Hence, depending on your scenario, this might be something to investigate. However, what I experienced last year is that if the shelf life period in days is not specified the user will be able to reserve batches that have expired. So something to keep in mind.

In addition, if the FEFO-date controlled parameter is activated and thus the shelf life information is defined, standard D355 will not ask the user to enter the expiration date via the mobile device. This is because the system has enough information in place to define the expiration date based on the shelf life information fields. As far as I know, besides activating the purchase registration checkbox on the item group form there is no other way to manually enter the (vendor) expiration date via the scanner if the shelf life information of the product is known.

You may have already experienced this when testing the PO registration checkbox, but not all fields such as country of origin, etc. need to be filled in by the warehouse employee.

    Hi,

As I understand I must enter the shelf life period to the released product if I use batch tracking dimension. Regarding the batch ID, if it is about to enter the batch number to the item's line in PO so I don't enter anything there.

I have tried to activate Vendor batch - purchase registration and it displays the list of fields as Vendor batch / Vendor batch date / Vendor expiry date / Country of origin(1,2). It is vendor's information and it would be a problem to made the worker to fill this list of questions.

I can see in "Warehouse app field names" that there is a field Batch Expiry Date which is separate from the Vendor's expiry date but I don't understand why it doesn't come up on the screen under Batch number.

    Hi,

When the shelf life dates are set or when the batch ID is already known in the system, the system will not give you the option via the scanner to enter the expiration date.

For your scenario, have you already tried activating the below checkbox via the item model group form?

The next screen takes me either to the work complete message or to the put procedure depending on the function I selected in WMA.

Go to the next screen and it should show the other fields
