Transportation management - Load building templates sequence setup

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to set up the Load building workbench. I am currently at the load building templates. I want to make a template which allows me to scale up from one load template to another based on the order number. For example, depending on the order weight and volume to progress from one pallet to several pallets or from a 20ft container to a 40 ft container. I am attaching one of my load building templates as an example:

Because I didn't find any data in the docs I assumed that the Load templates sequence would define the sequence at which the system will check how to create the load for the sales order. For example, if the quantity can't fit on one pallet, make a load of 2pallets.

But it didn't work this way. With the sequence from the screenshot if the order can't fit on one pallet, the system doesn't propose anything. If I put the stacked pallet template as the first option, the system proposes a load.

Can you explain how this load templates sequence works an how can I achieve my end goal for the system to propose me options how to build my loads based on the sales orders, choosing from more than one load template?

Thanks in advance.

BR,

Simeon

    Hello Simeon,

    The description here
says "On the Load templates sequence FastTab, select one or more load templates. The workbench will try to fit the load into these types of containers, in the sequence that is specified here. Typically, you should put the smallest containers at the top of the list to ensure that the smallest possible container is selected first."
    Thanks,

    Hi Alina,

This is exactly how I made the setup, but the system gives up after not being able to fit the load into the smallest.

It seems a little rash to do so. Have you tried this functionality yourself? Can you share a working setup which I can try before we conclude there is an issue with the functionality?

    Hi Simeon,

There is a recent reported issue with the exact same description:
