Pass a value from Plugin to HTML Page

Hello folks,

Can anyone tell me how I can pass c# plugin values to HTML Page.

I am getting attribute values from plugin and I need to pass those values to HTML Page, so that I can convert it into PDF after that.

Help would be appreciated.

Hi Seshan,

You can not directly pass any value from plugin to client side HTML web resource. You can retrieve the data using web API call /SDK.Rest call in your HTML providing settimeout till plugin is fired, assuming that you have kind of flag field which determined that plugin got executed.

You cannot call a plugin directly from Javascript, what you can do is create an action, attach the plugin to the action and then call the action which will then return the output of the plugin...

arvindcsit.blog/.../call-actions-using-dynamics-crm-web-api-with-output-parameter shows how to create an action with output parameters and has sample c# code to show how those parameters can be populated from a plugin.

community.dynamics.com/.../fixed-executing-action-with-complex-output-parameters-through-web-api-in-dynamics-365-v9-0 shows how you can call the action from Javascript.
