Hi Guys,

I have a requirement where I need to set up an account for one client using which my client can see the Open cases and budget and other things in CRM only related to that client, other client's data should not be visible at all.

Please suggest how to achieve this.

    Hello,

In order to access data in CRM you need to be a valid CRM user further you can controls visibility of the data based on the security roles. But as clients are not port of your CRM and they are not CRM user, you should build a portal where you can expose customer data. Have you considered using Portal??

You can use free portal solution for Dynamics 365 and provide access to data related to your customer. Refer below for more details

    docs.microsoft.com/.../provision-portal

    Hi,

For using CRM directly, your client would have to be an actual user in the system, and you would have to set the permissions and business unit structure appropriately so that the client only sees their data.

If you want to show the data to the client on the web (portal), you can easily do this by setting Entity Permissions that are appropriate to this scenario, and display the data using Web Pages, Web Templates, Entity Forms and Entity Lists.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

There is out of the box integration between SharePoint and CRM for document management, but to show data to SharePoint you need to look for custom integration. Never got a requirement but you can look for these references which should help you:

I have done integration with bringing data and documents from CRM to SharePoint, but it is a complex process which involves customization to SharePoint, development of Api on Azure and a custom application within Dynamics. Might be other ways of course to do this, but this was our requirement.

If this is what you are looking for, you would require a lot of custom development, as I am not aware if this is something that you can get right now in a packaged product or an available solution.

    Good luck with this.
