Transportation Costs linked to item

Hi,

my customer wants to bring costs for transportation onto the item that has been either sold or ordered in a PO or SO.

I want to avoid transportation module or landed costs, because its too complicated to use.

Is there any way to get the costs directly linked to the product on PO/SO?

If i create a separate PO for transportation to a delivery vendor im missing the ability to add the extra costs to the product.

    You can use misc. charges.

    Hi,

    i can add charges to the PO or SO but i still need to order a transportation from vendor and the costs for that order is wanted on the item.

    i dont think charges and autocharges will work.

    If my customer places an order and wants to add the transportation costs that they addionaly have to pay from vendor that they ordered charges works fine.

    But if my customer places order for lets say item 001 and my customer has to organize a truck to deliver to them, they need to place another order to a different vendor (truck company) to have the transportation setup and in this case these costs have to be added to the item that caused this additional transportation order.

    Hi again,

    i talked to our finance consultant, and we found a solution to work with the charges.

    We will use a defined main account for transportation vendor and on the charges we can select this main account against the products.

    This is the only way without customization to realise this requirement.
