Workflow - Multiple approvers in sequence

Hi all,

I'm wondering how we could set up the workflow of journal batch as below:

Level 1: Approver A, Approver B (Once either A or B approves the document, it will be sent to level 2 approvers.)
Level 2: Approver C, Approver D (Once either C or D approves the document, it will be sent to level 3 approver.)
Level 3: Approver E (Once E approvers the document, the workflow is completed)

Thanks.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

    You can navigate to Workflow User Groups, and add Workflow User Group Members with sequence number according to your needs. I have taken an example of approver flow as

    Approver 1 -> Micheal
    Approver 2 -> Anna
    Approver 3 -> William or Paul (either approves, move to next step)

    Then go to your Workflow -> add your workflow steps, for example -

    After that click on "Then Response" and change the Approver Type to Workflow User Group, and add your user group in the Workflow User Group Code field -

    Do mark as verified if this helps.

    Hello,

    BC cannot do an approval setup like:

    A or B → then C or D → then E.

    The workflow engine only supports:

    One fixed approver, or

    Escalation, or

    Everyone in a group must approve (AND), not OR.

    So your requirement isn’t possible without customization or Power Automate.

    Hii There for this you can create a workflow user group.
    in that you can assign a same sequence as per your users are places.
    for this as per requirement you can get the approval sequence. also if the same sequence is not updated to approved . update it through custom code as in some old version there was missing code for that .

    if you found answer mark it answered.
    Thank You.
